Yama No Yu ･ Kazoku Furo

152. Yama-no-yu / Kazoku-buro, Beppu As I understood, there's a shared bath (500 yen) and several private baths (1500 yen). I randomly ended up in private bath #4, and saw another one numbered #5 (not sure if the shared bath is included in the numbering or if there are five private baths total). Stamp available, but the man said it was in another building. By the time I was leaving, he'd already brought it to the main counter and I got my stamp. My bath had clear water, temperature hot. From the room there's an amazing view of the bridge, town, and forest. When sitting in the bath the view isn't great, but you can open the window and step out onto a small balcony to enjoy the scenery. Hard not to recommend an onsen with such a view of the bridge.
