Operating hours stated as 07:00 to 10:30 and 14:00 to 21:00 (closed Thursdays); the website also notes local-only hours: 07:00 to 09:00. Part of the Shirahama tegata (1 sticker for two people). There's a small balcony by the changing room with a view of the beach through a fence. Bath photos from the internet - they match. Indoor bath, view from the window onto the bay and beach. Sirara-yu: https://maps.app.goo.gl/kxXXf4K4ye3wRr6Z8 An old-timer local onsen in Shirahama (the one in Wakayama). Before noon it's only for residents; after noon it opens to everyone. One indoor bath, the water smells faintly of hydrogen sulfide. Listed as heated kakenagashi, 40-42°. There's a small balcony to cool off. 420 yen entry; towels and shampoo for an extra fee. The main plus is proximity to Shirahama city beach: from the bath and the balcony you can see the beach (lit up at night), and planes take off right over the onsen. The shower water is also onsen water, notably (I specifically asked). A solid third of the visitors are heavily tattooed. Not a rival to Shirahama's main onsen Saki-no-yu, but it's open until 9 PM and closer to the beach.
