Ryokan Okabesou (旅館岡部荘) draws its water from five springs on the property, all run kakenagashi (源泉かけ流し, continuously flowing fresh). The water is clear and faintly salty. There are two rotenburo: one overlooks the garden and changes with the seasons, the other sits alongside the Oyu River where you can sometimes hear frogs and spot ducks. A private reserved rotenburo lined with hiba wood is available at extra cost. Indoors, the Sakura-yu (桜風呂) is a petal-shaped bath built when the ryokan opened in the Showa era, and the Taisho-yu (大正風呂) retains its original tub from the time the building was a villa. All baths swap between men and women at 21:00 each night, so guests can experience every bath over a stay.
