About
Perched above the Shima River, this intimate inn takes only four groups a day and has a handmade mixed open-air bath (konyoku rotenburo, 混浴露天風呂) right at the water's edge. The spring flows in unfiltered and direct, and at night the sound of the river and the movement of the water in the bath blend into something quietly extraordinary. Bathing wear is welcome for those who prefer it.
