Sodium Chloride spring
A hot (47.2 °C) sodium chloride spring, listed historically under the old 'jun-shokuen-sen' name. The water is hypotonic and weakly alkaline, with a faintly briny tang at the wellhead and a moderate total mineralization of about 3.3 g/kg. A generous 180 mg/kg of metasilicic acid puts it in Japan's beauty-water family, lending a soft, smooth feel that lingers after bathing.
