Yumehinokinoyu Daibutsu Hot Spring

Daibutsu Onsen with sparkling small tiles is a reservation-only private bath (family bath) conveniently located a 10-minute walk from JR Beppu Station. Originally a communal bath for union members only, it was renewed as a family bath and is now open to the public. The Aoi no Yu features a refreshing blue tone and offers a view of a small courtyard garden. The Akane no Yu is a private room with a gentle pink and wisteria-colored bathtub that soothes the heart. The water is a weakly alkaline simple spring rich in moisturizing "metasilicic acid," characterized by high transparency, clarity, and a soft feel on the skin. The baths are spotless and shiny, refreshing both body and mind. The "Yumehinoki" device naturally cools the hot spring source water to about 50°C without much dilution before it is poured into the bathtub.
