About
The main bath here runs with iron-rich water that comes out a deep rust-brown, with flakes of mineral deposits drifting through it. The water flows through kakenagashi (源泉かけ流し), meaning it is not recirculated. Alongside the main soak there are a bubble bath, sauna, and a cold plunge filled with groundwater from the Kirishima mountain range. A drinking tap is available at the bathing area. The facility is part of the Kyushu 88 Onsen (九州88湯) selection. It is a plain, well-used local spot with a dining hall and rest rooms on site.
