Yoake Yakutō Onsen

400. Yoake Yakuto Onsen, Hita, Oita Onsen for 650. Operating hours stated as 10:00 to 20:00 (closed Tuesdays). They stamp the 88 Onsen of Kyushu book. The onsen has a collaboration with Attack on Titan — they released a towel with artwork showing a titan emerging from behind this onsen's bath. At the time of my visit in January, the towels were still in stock. Bath photos from the internet match reality. Baths are indoors, breathing is fine. The main stone bath has clear water with very fine mineral deposits, temperature 40. There's one utaseyu (waterfall shower). The second bath is herbal, with clear murky-yellow water, temperature 41-42. Considering such a unique collaboration, a very interesting place — especially for fans.
