Oyado Tamaki sits close to the stone steps (ishidan, 石段) at the heart of Ikaho, one of the Kanto region's classic hot-spring towns. The inn draws from two separate springs: Kogane-no-yu (黄金の湯, the "golden water") and Shirogane-no-yu (白銀の湯, the "silver water"), each with its own character. Two large public baths, one with a view toward the Tanigawa mountains, both rotate between men and women each day and include open-air sections, sauna, and cold water. For more privacy there are two reservable baths, including an indoor one fed by kakenagashi (free-flowing, non-recirculated) Kogane-no-yu. A number of guest rooms also have their own onsen tubs piped with Shirogane-no-yu.
