Fujikawaguchiko No. 2 Spring

Classification
Sodium Chloride spring
A calcium-sodium led sulfate-chloride spring drawn cold at 27 °C and reheated for bathing. Neutral pH with 1,843 mg/kg dissolved solids — sulfate gives quiet body while chloride layers in heat retention. At the wellhead the water is colorless, tasteless, and odorless; the temperature and warmth come from on-site heating rather than the source itself.
Kasuitei Ooya (花水庭おおや) sits on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi, a ryokan that has been here since the Taisho era (founded 1923). The shared baths draw from the Fujikawaguchiko natural spring. There are two separate bath areas: the basement-floor baths offer spacious indoor pools and open-air tubs with a waterfall shower, plus a sauna; the top-floor baths are the view baths, with open-air tubs looking directly over the lake. A private reserved bath, Ukifune (浮舟), is also on the top floor and can be booked by the session. In-room baths, where they exist, use Mt Fuji water rather than the spring.
160. Kasuitei Ooya, Kawaguchiko
Stayed here twice overnight. But it so happened that I didn't visit the 7th floor bath either time, so this review is without that (it should be good). The hotel is walkable from the station without much effort, located by the lake.
One time I took a room with an in-room bath overlooking Lake Kawaguchiko. The bath is comfortable for one person, windows open (not fully) toward the lake and toward the room's balcony. Good for Witcher cosplay. Breathing in summer is comfortable. Water is clear, odorless. Temperature hot. That time I took the meals - everything was very good.
One of the shared bath areas is on the basement floor. It has indoor and outdoor baths, a cold water bath, sauna, and a shallow round bath with mild temperature for rinsing. Indoor bath with clear water, temperature hot, no particular smell. Breathing on a summer evening is comfortable.
Even though it's a basement floor, there's an outdoor bath. Water is clear, temperature hot-. No particular smell either. There are two utaseyu (falling water baths).
Based on photos and info in the hotel, there are also rooms with different in-room baths and there should be private baths on the 7th floor (where another shared bath is).
A solid ryokan and recommended, but at Lake Kawaguchiko the issue is that you get views of the lake but no views of Mt. Fuji.
