About

A large day-use bathing complex in Fujiyoshida, housed in a wooden building built in the style of a Hida-Takayama historic residence, using traditional nail-free beam construction. Baths span four floors: an outdoor stone bath, a large granite indoor pool, a high-concentration carbonic bath, a vanadium bath, and a jet bath. The sauna uses stones mixed with Mt. Fuji lava, with a cold bath alongside. On the top floor, a ganbanyoku (岩盤浴) zone looks out directly toward Mt. Fuji.

163. Fujiyama Onsen, Yamanashi Super sento. Located near Fuji-Q. Admission is 2000, which includes a large and small towel. There's a dining area, souvenir shop, chill zone with a view of Fuji, hammocks, and a stone bath (didn't try it). They hold events with nepashi. Went on a weekend and it was super crowded: the changing room was really packed (and it's small to begin with) and I grabbed the last shower spot in the main area. The air conditioning in the complex is weak for summer, so after bathing it was pretty rough. They stamp the Yamanashi 100 Onsen book. There's an outdoor and indoor bath area. 1. Indoor area. 1.0. Breathing in summer wasn't very comfortable. 1.1. Large main bath. Clear water, temperature showed 41-42. 1.2. Carbonated water bath. Temperature showed 38. The carbonation was weak, had to sit for a while to notice it. 1.3. Bath with warm water. 1.4. Jet zone for 3 people + lying area with bubbles for 2. 1.5. Sauna. 2. Outdoor area. 2.0. No direct view of Fuji from the outdoor area. 2.1. Stone bath, clear water, hot temperature. 2.2. Loungers for chilling. Decent baths, but way too many people on weekends and questionable air conditioning inside the complex in summer. Could be worth stopping by after Fuji-Q, but not in summer/not on weekends.
