Fukujionsenokuhi Da Hot Spring

Fukuji Onsen (福地温泉) is one of five hot-spring areas that make up the Okuhida Onsengo district, and the quietest of the group. A short detour off the road linking Hirayu and Shinhotaka, the village sits at roughly 1,000 m elevation, cool in summer and deep in snow in winter. Several ryokan share the natural spring water, and the whole place keeps a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere that feels a step removed from the busier parts of Okuhida.
