Izanro Iwasaki has been receiving guests at Misasa Onsen since 1920. The main draw is Yamayu (山の湯), a circuit-style garden rotenburo where 12 baths of different character are laid out across two wings. The left wing (Hidari-no-yu, 左の湯) includes a cave bath modeled on the nearby Nageire-do cliff temple, a walking bath, and a reclining bath; the right wing (Migi-no-yu, 右の湯) keeps a more retro feel from an earlier era. A radon steam sauna sits in each wing, and a drinking spring is available at the bath entrance. For guests staying overnight, the private bath Dokuyama-no-yu (独山の湯) runs fresh spring water continuously (kakenagashi, かけ流し), and 13 rooms have their own open-air baths, all kakenagashi as well.
