Classification

Sodium-Calcium Sulfate-Chloride spring

A blended Shibu Onsen source combining the Hira-no-yu, Yakushi-no-yu and Tonbi-no-yu wells — a sodium-calcium sulfate-chloride spring drawn very hot at 65 °C. The settled, mineral-rich sulfate body carries a salty edge from the chloride sub-type, and a generous 151 mg/kg of metasilicic acid leaves the kind of silica film that makes skin feel smoother afterwards. The water is faintly yellow and clear at the source with a slight metallic iron taste, and sits among Japan's hottest natural sources.

3rd onsen of Shibu. The water is cloudy. Temperature at the time of the visit was hot. A straightforward old-school solid Shibu onsen. If you're not doing all of them, you can skip it.
