Budget ryokan without kaiseki (breakfast only). Onsen is 24 hours, roughly 10:00 to 13:00 is cleaning time but best to confirm. Higaeri access depends on the ryokan's occupancy - during peak season and weekends they may not allow it. Has a TORECO card. Two shared bath areas (one with a mini-rotenburo for one person) and a private bath (free, no reservation needed, but the hottest of them all). View from the rotenburo onto a small forest, quite cozy. Water temperature per the owner: 38-47, the rotenburo being the coolest. Some rooms have an in-room toilet; views from all rooms are roughly the same, as in the photo. Free towels, yukata and haori, can be changed daily. Common area has lots of manga in Japanese and free charcoal-brewed tea in the afternoon (tea also in rooms). Breakfast is simple and tasty. No elevator. The owner's son speaks good English. Fun fact: the owner studied in Moscow and Minsk in the early 90s.
