About

Yuyu Five is the day-use bath at Wellness Park Goshiki, a recreation park on Awaji Island built around a campsite, log cabins, and a small lodge. There are two bath halls, one done in a Japanese style and one Western, and which is for men and which for women swaps by the day. Between them you'll find a rotenburo, a hot bath, a jet bath, an electric bath, a waterfall bath (utaseyu, 打たせ湯), and a scented or herbal bath that changes weekly. The spring water itself is plain and mild, clear with barely any smell, and it leaves your skin feeling smooth rather than making a strong impression. There's a light food counter for udon, a tatami rest room, and paid massage chairs, so it works either as a stop on its own or as a soak after a day at the park's campsite or tennis courts.
