About

Sanoyu (茶の湯) is a day-use bath complex in Nishio, Aichi, built around a tea theme. The baths use artificially prepared water rather than a natural spring, including a rotating selection that recreates different regional spring styles and a high-concentration carbonated bath. One tub, the Chatsuba-no-yu (茶壺の湯), is shaped like an oversized Tokoname-ware tea jar. The sauna lineup covers a dry room with auto-löyly and scheduled aufguss sessions, plus a steam sauna for women. A separate ganbanyoku area, Sokaiin (爽快院), has four rooms. After bathing, the in-house restaurant Chano-an (茶乃庵) serves seasonal food and drinks.
