A sodium-led bicarbonate-chloride spring of the classic jūsō-sen style, softened by a salty edge from the chloride side. Neutral pH and moderate mineralization (1,913 mg/kg dissolved solids) give it a gentle feel with strong heat retention. Served as free-flow from a 48.5 °C source, with no dilution, reheating or disinfection.

380. Nakamura Hot Spring, Minamata, Kumamoto Paid 500 yen to the grandmother at the shop (the location is marked on the screenshot), then she took me to a separate building with the onsen. Operating hours listed as 10:00 to 22:00. They stamp the 88 Onsen of Kyushu book. As I understood, the bath is private since the grandmother told me to lock the door. The changing room has equipment for visiting the onsen with a child, plus some interesting artifacts. Bath with clear water, temperature around 42. Breathing is excellent.
