YesLast entry is 20:30, half an hour before closing. On Wednesdays the bath opens at 16:00 instead of the usual 10:30 for facility cleaning. There's no fixed closed day, though occasional maintenance closures happen without a set schedule.
Adult day-use bathing is ¥700, child ¥350, preschoolers free. Residents of Shimanto Town get a discounted rate: ¥500 for adults, ¥250 for children.

Hotel Matsubakawa Onsen is a mountain ryokan deep in the forests above the Shimanto River, built around two separate hot springs. The indoor bath draws on an old sulfur source that locals have used since the Edo period, with a faint sulfur scent and a smooth, silky feel on the skin. The outdoor bath, fed by a separate and newer spring, looks over forest and river scenery that shifts with the seasons: fresh green in spring, fireflies in early summer, foliage in autumn, snow in winter. There's a sauna with a cold bath alongside, and day-use bathing is open to non-guests as well as to overnight visitors.
