About

Ryukyu Onsen Ryujin no Yu (琉球温泉 龍神の湯) draws natural spring water from 1,000m beneath Senaga Island, and the water has a faintly salty quality typical of Okinawa's coastal springs. The complex runs two gendered wings, Kinryu (金龍) and Ginryu (銀龍), each with a lineup of indoor and open-air baths: a standing pool deep enough to soak upright, solo barrel baths, a rock bath or reclining bath, and a cold plunge. The open-air standing pool is the signature spot, facing both the ocean and the Naha Airport second runway, so you watch planes come in while you soak. Both wings also have a louyu (ロウリュ) sauna with five daily heat events, and a mist sauna stocked with rotating specialty salts.

182. Ryujin Hot Springs, Okinawa First time writing a review here — hope I'm doing it right and this one hasn't been reviewed yet. The onsen is in Ryukyu Onsen Senagajima Hotel — admission 1700, includes towels and there are lots of cosmetic products inside to try. One bath inside (41 degrees), the rest are outside — three tubs with water, a stone bath, a cold bath, and a lying bath (it's mentioned on the website but I apparently missed it). The main highlight is a deep 120cm bath with a view of the sea and the runway, with relatively cool water, definitely under 40. There are two saunas — one dry, the other like a hammam with different types of salt. For products, you can try shampoos and shower gels made from the onsen spring water itself, and buy them too. The whole onsen has an Okinawan style, light tones, I liked it a lot.
