156. Seaside Hotel Mimatsu OOETEI, Beppu Stayed overnight, didn't take meals. The hotel is slightly aged. Located on the waterfront, near a great walking area and not far from the station. Lots of hotels with onsens in this area. They don't stamp the onsen-do passport. The indoor bath is separately located downstairs. Water is clear with fine mineral deposits, the bath is entirely wooden, temperature hot-. Breathing is fine. The upper outdoor bath is on the rooftop. Great view, but for the full picture you need to stand up from the bath. You can see both the bay and the mountain to the right. Water is clear, temperature between warm and hot - you could sit in it for a very long time. I personally think a seamless view from the bath is better than having to stand up to enjoy the scenery. But this place still has a great atmosphere on the rooftop and there's a view of the mountain. The price was also one of the lowest among the scenic hotels I visited in Beppu.
