About

A quiet ryokan in the Hachimantai mountains fed by a hydrogen sulfide spring, the type that tarnishes metal and gives the water a faint sulfurous scent. The mixed outdoor rotenburo (露天風呂) sits in an old-growth beech and oak forest, with mountain stream sounds in the background. The water runs straight from the source, unheated and uncirculated.
