Shikanoyu Hotel

435. Shikanoyu Hotel, Yunoyama Onsen Visited for higaeri (listed as 11:00 to 14:30, 1000 yen). Located close to the tourist center. Private baths available for 3300 (didn't try them). At the time of our visit it was part of the Yunoyama stamp rally January-March 2025. The onsen issues Toreco collectible cards, but the staff couldn't find them at first, then said they'd run out and hadn't reordered. There are cool wooden swings with a great view. Indoor bath. Has deer figures. The bath is divided into two segments by wooden railings, plus a reclining area. Water is clear, temperature 42. The air inside is comfortable. In the outdoor zone, two small baths with clear water. First bath fits one person, temperature 39. The second is a bit larger, temperature 40. A fairly average place for onsens, but could be a good option for overnight stays.
