242. Hokkawa Onsen, Izu An onsen well-known among those in the know. The bath edges are positioned close to the bay — very beautiful. Costs 600, listed hours 10:00–18:00. Online photos match. Inside there are two stone baths with clear water. Temperature: one bath at 40, the other 41–42. Strong wind blowing from the bay side, quite refreshing. No question about it — a very cool, authentic onsen, a must-visit.
