76. Ekimae Koutou Onsen, Beppu Old-school onsen not far from the station. Stamp available. Inside the bathing area there's an intense atmosphere — high ceiling, everything is very old, some equipment hums quite loudly, and the clothing lockers open with just the right sound effect. Basically, if Fallout had a Japanese onsen, this is exactly what it would look like! Inside there are two baths. Water everywhere is clear, no notable smell. Comfortable to breathe inside. One bath has hot water, and the second bath under the staircase has truly very hot water. In the second bath, the valve is deliberately locked so that enemies can't dilute the temperature. Highly recommended for old-school enthusiasts — the bath area has an incredibly cool atmosphere.
