YesA handful of specific days each month are closed for day-use bathing only, usually for cleaning; overnight stays and dining run as normal on those days. Check the official site's monthly notice for that month's exact dates.
Adults JPY1,200, elementary school age JPY800, ages 3 and up JPY600 (tax included). A face towel is included and bath towel rental is JPY330. A private outdoor bath, kashikiri (貸切), costs JPY3,300 for 45 minutes on top of the bath fee.

Hinotani Onsen Misugi Resort is a big hot-spring stay in the hills of Misugi, Mie prefecture. The baths draw on the resort's own hot spring, said to leave skin feeling smooth, and include a hinoki-wood bath and an open-air bath set in the surrounding forest, plus a sauna with a cold plunge. Five private outdoor baths can also be booked separately for a soak with just your own group. The resort is best known for an actual beer bath, filled with beer from its own brewery and weak enough (under 0.03% alcohol) to bathe in safely, alternating between the men's and women's sides each day. It also runs its own bakery and a buffet restaurant.
