A small family-run hotel on the Okhotsk Sea coast in Utoro, the gateway village to the Shiretoko Peninsula. The indoor rock bath (iwaburo, 岩風呂) looks out over the water, making for an unhurried soak with sea views. The hotel doesn't have onsen water, but it sits in the heart of the Utoro hot-spring district. Rooms are simple; guests share a well-equipped kitchen and dining area in place of a restaurant.
