Atagawa Onsen Takami Hotel

A modest, older inn on the Izu coast at Atagawa Onsen with an open-air mixed bath and ocean views. The spring is free-flowing (kakenagashi, かけ流し), and the outlook -- sea on one side, cherry blossoms in season -- gives it more charm than the weathered building might suggest. One of the few remaining co-ed open-air baths (rotenburo, 露天風呂) in the region.
