Hotel Taiko (ホテル太閤) sits in Akakura Onsen (赤倉温泉), a ski resort town on the slopes of Myoko (妙高). The baths run on kakenagashi (掛け流し) spring water drawn directly from the Akakura source. The open-air bath looks out over the mountains, and the indoor bath and sauna round out the bathing floor. Day-use bathing is available in the winter ski season.
