Awara Grand Hotel

A large hotel in Awara Onsen in Fukui, not the most polished place, but the baths are the main event. Multiple onsen including one on the top floor with city views draw a loyal local crowd, which is usually a good sign. The mixed bath is part of the bathing lineup. Rooms are older-style but the meals and the water itself are consistently well-regarded.
