About

A four-floor day-use complex near Tsuruhashi with natural onsen water fed straight through in outdoor standing and rock baths (kakenagashi, 源泉掛け流し). The outdoor section has five bath types including individual pottery tubs, a carbonated bath, and a sitting bath. Inside there are three saunas: a self-pour sauna (self-louryu, セルフロウリュウ) at the hot end, a staffed louryu sauna, and a women's salt steam room. On the third floor sits a Korean-style clothed sauna called yakuseki kanjo-bo (薬石汗蒸房), where you sweat on heated slabs of twelve different medicinal stones. Eleven private family baths on the fourth floor make it one of the larger kashikiri (貸切) selections in the Kansai region. The place draws a steady local crowd around the clock and has a tatami rest area beside the outdoor baths, two restaurants, and parking for 600 cars. Tattoos are not permitted.
