About
Aone Onsen (青根温泉) Okazaki Ryokan is a registered tangible cultural property (torokuyukei bunkazai, 登録有形文化財) run by a single elderly innkeeper. The indoor baths are small and intimate, fed by a free-flowing kakenagashi spring with clear, mildly alkaline water that feels smooth on the skin. Two private baths are available at no extra charge. A fire in 2018 damaged the annex and meals were discontinued, so overnight stays are now room-only (sudomari, 素泊まり). The building itself has a quietly elegant, old-fashioned character that is part of the appeal.
