Yuhama Onsen Miura Ryokan

A lamp-lit inn at about 700m elevation on the southwest slope of Mount Kurikoma, accessible only on foot, a ten-minute walk down from the road through beech forest to reach the riverside ryokan. The spring is sulfurous, with hot spring sediment floating in the water. There is an outdoor bath with river views, and in the evenings the lamps and the forest combine into something quite atmospheric. Open from late April through early November.
