The bath at Konishi Inn is a single glass-walled room looking straight out over the Yoshino River, so the view shifts with the seasons: fresh green in spring, cool water in summer, and occasional snow in winter. The water itself is clear and feels soft on the skin. Day-use bathing is open to anyone passing through, not just overnight guests. The inn is an old wooden ryokan built in 1925, and it was a favorite of the novelist Hayashi Fumiko (林芙美子), author of Horoki (放浪記); mementos and writings from her stays are still on display inside.
