146. Teruyu Onsen, Beppu A proper old-school onsen. Entry 300 yen. Staff present. No body wash/shampoo or shower. They stamp both the Beppu onsen-do passport and the 88 Onsens of Kyushu booklet. Inside there's one bath. Water is clear but slightly cloudy. Temperature hot. Breathing is comfortable.
