A sodium chloride spring served at 'Saiko-no-Yu'. The wellhead runs hot at 52 °C, and the salty, heat-retaining water warms the body and holds its warmth well after the bath. Neutral in pH, it feels gentle on the skin, and the water is tempered to a 40-42 °C bathing range.

About

Sarasa no Yu is a large day-use bathhouse, with no rooms to stay in, just baths. Indoors and out there's a wide range of tubs, a carbonated bath, an electric bath, a jet bath, a cool plunge, and a low-temperature nuruyu for a long soak, alongside a stadium-style aroma sauna and a separate steam sauna. The bathing areas are single-sex, and which side gets more room swaps by day and by month rather than mixing. A separate Korean-style heated-floor room called Sasa-mushibo (笹蒸房), entered in provided clothing and shared by men and women together, adds color-themed ganbanyoku alongside the baths. The onsen water is salty and warming, drawn from deep underground, and its color shifts from day to day, sometimes amber, sometimes closer to green. There's a restaurant on site for a meal after bathing and a tatami room to stretch out in.
