Nukabira Onsen Nakamuraya

A small, carefully curated pension in the Nukabira hot spring village, near Daisetsuzan. The interior has the feel of a private library, with antiques and local nature collections throughout. The outdoor rotenburo (露天風呂) is mixed-gender with separate changing areas on each side; a women-only window runs late evening. The spring is a colorless, slightly viscous sodium chloride-bicarbonate type, fresh and smooth.
