About

Yunomori Takesen (ゆの杜竹泉) is a day-use onsen in the Hasama district of Yufu, Oita. The public bath area has an indoor bath, a rotenburo (露天風呂), dry sauna, and cold bath. The water flows in fresh as kakenagashi (かけ流し) and leaves skin noticeably smooth. The ten private family baths are the real draw: styles range from a retro wooden room to the dokkutsu no yu (洞窟の湯), a cave bath that winds through about seven metres of stone. One family bath also has a steam sauna fed by onsen vapour.
