Aguri No Yu Komoro

Aguri no Yu Komoro is a large day-use bathhouse on a hillside above town, built around a full set of indoor baths (a main pool, a smaller one, a jacuzzi, a lie-down bath and a cold plunge), a sauna, and an open-air bath. The spring water is mildly alkaline and faintly salty, smooth on the skin. Both the outdoor bath and the sauna look out over the Asama mountain range and the streets of Komoro below, with the town's lights spreading out after dark and, if the timing works out, a Shinano Railway train passing in the distance. There's a spacious washing area, a big rest room with massage chairs, and an on-site restaurant serving set meals made with local ingredients like Tateshina beef, plus a farm-produce stall out front.
