Bettei Yama no Ki (別邸 山の季) is a small ryokan tucked into the forested hills of Shirabu Onsen (白布温泉) near Yonezawa. The inn has indoor stone and cypress baths fed by the local spring, which runs slightly sulfurous and warm. There is no open-air bath on site, but guests can use the yu-meguri (湯めぐり) pass to hop between baths at the three neighboring inns in the same hot spring village. Stays include all-inclusive drinks at the lounge and kaiseki-style meals featuring Yonezawa beef.
