A sodium-calcium chloride spring so concentrated it exceeds ocean salinity, with 16,270 mg/kg of dissolved solids that leave a thick mineral coating on the skin. It surfaces at a scalding 52.4 °C, placing it among Japan's hottest natural sources, and its alkaline pH 8.6 adds a slippery feel. The water is almost colorless and transparent yet strongly briny, and the certificate notes accompanying gas (mainly methane) rising with it.
