A sodium-led chloride spring delivered through the Kannawa line of Beppu City's municipal hot spring supply. Chloride water is the heat-retaining kind: the salt it carries clings to the skin and holds warmth well after the bath. The certificate's appendix lists the spring-type indications as cuts, peripheral circulation disorders, cold sensitivity, depressed mood and dry skin, alongside the standard general bathing indications.

78. Sujiyu Onsen, Beppu ★ An old-school onsen for ¥100. The stated hours are 06:30 to 20:00. They stamp the Beppu Onsen-do seal. No staff, no shower. No water composition board. The water is clear, and the temperature is 43. In January there were citrus fruits in the bath. It is easy to breathe inside. A typical old-school Beppu onsen, but it stood out to me personally. 29.04.2024 04.01.2026
