Kirishima Onsen Menoyu

A free, untamed sulfur spring in the Takachiho area of Kirishima, where the water seeps directly from the riverbank. There are patches of milky white water and clearer pools side by side, each with its own temperature -- the milky ones tend to be cooler and carry soft fine sediment that feels great on skin. Conditions vary each visit, and the path to reach it is rough, but for tattoo-friendly wild bathing in Kagoshima this is one of the rare options.
