About

Tachibanaya has been a fixture of Atsumi Onsen (あつみ温泉) in Yamagata for around 370 years. The bath lineup covers most bases: large gendered indoor baths, open-air baths for men and women separately, two private open-air baths called Tsuki-no-yu (月の湯) and Hoshi-no-yu (星の湯) on the upper floors with views over the valley, and select rooms with in-room semi-open-air onsen baths. A foot bath called Mokkе-yu (もっけ湯) sits on the riverbank across the street.
