75. Sea Wave Hotel, Beppu Stayed overnight. Hotel near the station. Based on the sign, higaeri is available. Inside there are two sections that alternate men/women daily: on the 3rd floor and on the 1st floor. Stamp available. On the 3rd floor there's one indoor bath. Clear, hot water. Very strange design choice with "photo wallpaper" of a waterfall on closed shutters in the bath area. The bath has an utaseyu with two streams. On the 1st floor there are two baths. Indoor bath again with "photo wallpaper" of a waterfall on closed shutters. Clear water, listed as 40°C. Outdoor bath in stone behind a fence with no view, but with "photo wallpaper" of a city (so instead of an actual view you get a weird photo of a city on all the walls), clear water, slightly cloudy, listed as 42°C. Unless you're going for stamps, between the strange "photo wallpaper" and the fairly standard baths, you can skip this one.
