Washing amenities are at the indoor bath/large bath; the site notes the outdoor private rotenburo has no washing area (洗い場がない).
The large shared bath sits at the top of the hotel and stays open nearly around the clock, closed only for cleaning. A short walk up a hillside path leads to two reservation-free private outdoor baths set in old-growth forest with a view of Mt. Omuro, and there's also a barrier-free private indoor bath booked in 45-minute slots at check-in. The water is colorless and soft on the skin. Dogs can come as far as the outdoor bath's changing area (not into the tub itself), and they're welcome in the hotel's ganbanyoku (岩盤浴), a heated-stone lying sauna. The hotel in Izu Kogen is built entirely around bringing your dog along: an all-inclusive stay with free-flow drinks, karaoke, billiards, a dog run, and a grooming room.
