When I got in, two old men were sleeping in the baths. After sitting down, within 3-4 minutes I started getting extremely drowsy and nearly face-planted into the water. I don't know if it was a coincidence or if there's really some combination of factors that's this relaxing at this onsen. Outdoor bath with clear carbonated water, cool temperature. An unusual place in terms of decor, the wildlife inside, and the baths themselves. If you're in the area or rushing the 88 Onsen of Kyushu achievement, recommended to stop by.
