こんぴら温泉 貸切湯の宿ことね

Kotone is a small, quiet ryokan tucked on the back street behind the main approach to Konpira-san (金刀比羅宮), the famous hilltop shrine in Kotohira. The draw is six private indoor baths on the third floor, each with a different look and feel, available free to overnight guests from check-in to check-out. One has a tatami mat floor, another has stonework recalling the deep blue of the Niyodo River, and one is styled in a retro Taisho-era design with a large overhead shower. The water is mild and low-irritation, and the site notes a faint, forest-like quality to it. There is no day-use bathing. Guests can also walk to the sister inn Yumoto Yachiyo (湯元八千代), about a minute away, to use their open-air bath during set hours.
