RAKU SPA GARDEN Nagoya A super sento within Nagoya. Besides the onsen itself, there are also various spa attractions and two budget cafes. There are quite a lot of baths, three indoors, 38.5°, 40° (with purple water), and a cold bath at 15°; three rotenburo, a large bath with clear water at 41°, set 2 (elongated shape) + 2 (round shape) tsubo-yu at 41.5°, and a large bath with "silky" water at 42°. In addition, indoors there are jet baths (children under 10 are not allowed to use them, and the jets are very strong, painfully strong) and a dry sauna (open from 9 p.m. until closing), and outside there is a reclining bath with flowing water and a foot bath. The sauna is not very hot, but if you warm up in the hot onsen and go in right away, you can work up a sweat. If you also alternate with the cold bath, which is right at the sauna exit, you can really enjoy it. Everything inside matches the photos. Pros: * Free shuttles from central Nagoya every 30 minutes, with the last departure at 21:00 or 21:30 * Very clean, the staff are polite and helpful, but they may not know English. * The ticket price includes a towel set, various spa treatments, and a room with a larger manga collection Cons: * Very crowded. I specifically came on Monday evening hoping for an empty place, but there were many people inside. On weekends, there may be queues 🙈 The price is standard for a super sento, ¥2,100 on weekdays (more expensive on weekends). The discount after 9 p.m. mentioned on the website is a scam. Maybe you have to specifically beg the staff at reception for it (payment is at a machine, so that is extra effort). 02/11/26
