RAKU SPA GARDEN Nagoya draws natural hot spring water from 1,500 meters underground and runs it through around a dozen bath types. Outdoors there are stone baths, pot baths (tsubo-buro, 壺風呂), and a silky bath; inside, a carbonated bath, electric bath, and jet baths. There is also a cold plunge and a high-temperature sauna; women get an additional salt sauna. Five ganbanyoku (岩盤浴) heated stone rooms are included in the entry fee, one set up as a planetarium. The rest floors on the third and fourth levels are genuinely spacious, with free coffee, free water, and a library of over 50,000 manga volumes. A free shuttle runs from Sakae.
