Tasshaka Rando (たっしゃかランド), the Tomie Onsen Center, sits facing Tomie Bay (富江湾) on Goto Island. The name comes from the local dialect word for healthy. The main indoor bath draws real onsen water that runs quite hot and leaves you warm long after you get out. There is also a waterfall bath (utase-yu, 打たせ湯), a sauna, and an open-air bath. The place has the relaxed feel of a neighborhood facility: a dining hall, a small reading corner with manga, massage chairs, and a shop selling local produce and souvenirs.
